Promotional Towel Care

• Washing Your Towel –  Always wash in warm water before use. Wash dark colours separately, and it is recommended not to wash your towelling products with other garments
• Printed Towels – Owning a printed towel is much like having a pair of new jeans. It is normal for the excess ink to come out of the product during the wash and rinse cycles, particularly in the initial wash. It is also normal for ink transfer to occur when the print area is rubbed against an unprinted area before washing. We recommend you do not rub the print area of the towel at all.
• Drying Your Towel – We all love to have a nice, soft towel! To achieve the perfect result, we suggest tumble drying your towel after washing. However, it is possible to over-dry the towel if you do this too frequently. Over-dying removes the natural moisture content in the fabric and can cause the towel to feel rough. Do not leave your towels wet or damp as this encourages mildew growth and possible staining.
• Pulled Loops  – Jewellery, watches and even fingernails can create a ‘pull’ in even the most premium promotional towel. Should you, unfortunately, end up with a pull, do not latch onto the thread or pull further. Instead, carefully snip the thread with sharp scissors. Snipping one thread will not have a determinantal effect on the life of the towel, and it will ensure your problem thread won't get pulled further.
  
  
• Absorbency  – Frequent washing with fabric conditioners or water softeners can reduce the absorbency of your towel by building up a fine water-resistant layer on the cotton fibres. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions when using these softeners. If your towels do not absorb water immediately upon purchase, try washing them a couple of times without softener and then tumble dry.
• Linting, Fluffing or Pilling  – It is normal for new towels to lint or pill. In the unlikely event that your towels have excessive linting, please wash them two or three times to remove the surface dust/fluff. Tumble drying also assists in the removal of fluff. Remember to clean out the filters on your washing machine and Tumble dryer.
• Removing Stains – If you've unfortunately spilled some makeup or sun tan lotion on your towel after a day at the beach, we recommend you soak the towel in warm, soapy water before washing as directed.
• Fading Colours - Some washing powders contain optical brighteners. We suggest you wash your towels using a washing product designed specifically for coloured washes. Always follow supplied manufacturer instructions. Uneven fading can occur on these products if washing powders or detergents come into direct contact with the towel. Additionally, regular household products such as bleach, toilet cleaners or some beauty treatments can cause colour changes or fading in your towels. If any of these cleaners come into direct contact with your towel, wash the item gently with cold water before washing again as normal. Do not ever use bleach or any whitening agents on these towels.
