So it has been 50 years since man last landed onto the moon. The moon landing is a significant cultural occasion. Around the world, the event resonated emotionally. So it is no surprise that many businesses would like to associate themselves with that monumental occasion. Here is a quick look at some of the promotional material like promotional plush toys, watches, coins and suit cases created to celebrate that event.

The First Person in the Moon

The first man who landed on the moon was Neil Armstrong. It was part of a mission under the United States' Apollo project, which was intended to send humans beyond Earths atmosphere for the first time in history. On July 20th 1969 , at 8:17 am Eastern Daylight Time, Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin stepped onto the moon's surface, making them the first human beings to set foot on any other planetary body.

The lunar module that they had ridden through space then lowered down from its landing gear while they suited up with their special spacesuits along with enough oxygen, food and water necessary for survival during their brief exploration of this unknown new world. After completing his historic steps upon the moon's surface, Neil said one famous quote that still lives on today: "That's one small step for [a] man; one giant leap for mankind."

This world-changing event will forever be remembered in history as an incredible accomplishment brought about by American engineering and exploration initiatives aimed at pushing boundaries outside our home planet into less explored areas of space .

Amazing Products Created

Some amazing merchandise has been created to celebrate the 50 years since man first walked onto the moon. Some of the products I have come across are listed below.

Omega First Watch on the Moon

Not so much as promotional merchandise, but this watch does associate itself with the event. Supposedly this same design was worn by the 2nd man ever to walk the moon. So Omega decided to produce and re-release this watch in 2019. The design is a watch lovers dream, combined with the story of walking on the moon, makes this release a great promotional and marketing effort.

Commemorative Coins

American coins, which celebrate the outer space with images, and motifs.

Upside Down Ice Cream

Ice cream that does not fall out of its cup when served upside down. That is the marketing catch line of this product. The look of the ice cream is out of space, and it does not fall out when tipped upside down. When it begins to melt, it will drop out.

Suit Cases

These suitcases below draws its design inspiration from the baggage boxes that the astronauts used on the moon. The same company made them previously back 50 years ago as well.
