Glass! It is everywhere, and we cannot live without it. We use glass everywhere, glass cups, windows, cars, and more. Where did glass originally come from though? How did it end up as a product like promotional glassware that we commonly sell?

What is Glass?

So let's start by defining, what exactly is glass. Well, glass is that clear material that you and I are familiar with. What is in it? There are a lot of really complex terms that describe the chemical makeup of glass. In short, though, glass is liquid sand.

Glass is made by heating sand. The sand is melted to 1700 degrees celsius and believe it or not, it melts! When melted it turns into glass (many things need to happen in between to make it the clear glass that we know, but we will skip these details for now)

Glass that Goes in Promotional Drinkware

May you be considering holding an event that requires glass drinkware? Here is a list of positives and negatives to help you choose between plastic or glass-made glassware for drinks.

Advantages:

1) Glassware is a product that will be reused. No one throws away a glass unless it is damaged or broken.

2) Beverages taste better. While this is not scientifically proven, I prefer drinking from a glass. I am unsure why, but I find drinks simply taste better.

Disadvantages

1) The disadvantage for glass is that when broken, it can have sharp edges. Therefore for many events, it is best to use plastic or polycarbonate glassware.

2) When holding events in Australia, consider the advantages of glass compared with plastic promotional cups when it comes to insurance premiums against accidents. Some insurance companies will prefer if your event use plastic for safety reasons.

Conclusion

Marketing campaigns can be some of the most effective ways to reach a target audience and increase brand recognition. However, traditional methods such as television commercials, radio ads, newspaper advertisements are now obsolete. Promotional glassware is gaining traction for its ability to create lasting effects with long-term visibility for brands.

Promotional products like customised glasses provide better connection opportunities between companies and their customers by creating an emotional bond that no other methods can match. It gives clients something tangible that they remember when thinking about your company in the future.
