With the intense Black Friday and Cyber Monday online sales days about to hit in the US, KFC decided now would be the perfect time to sell a one-off limited edition indoor pod designed to help you "escape" the internet. Dubbed an "escape pod" this enclosure can seat four people (and presumably their bucket of chicken) comfortably inside. What can you do inside the pod? Well, avoid the internet for one! Made from steel, stainless steel, foam, and enamel the pod blocks Wi-Fi signals so once you're inside you need to do something other than checking your phone!

The pod's most memorable feature aside from its door handle made to resemble a KFC drumstick, would have to be its massive foam Colonel Sanders that wraps around the exterior of the tent. Notably absent are any KFC standard PMS colours or even the KFC chain logo. Instead, the emphasis is on the foam Colonel who is every bit as iconic as the brand's actual logo, and the design seems to benefit from this unique approach.

Unfortunately, there is only one pod available to the entire world, and with a price tag of $10,000 US, it's unlikely anyone you know is going to grab this one-off promotional product. A shame because while you can do without Wi-Fi by simply switching it off or putting your phone away, there's something just that bit more appealing about retreating to your very own Colonel Sanders escape pod to meditate on the state of the world.
