Have you seen the Opera House right now at night? It is spectacular with a capital S. We thought after being in our industry for so long and having been involved in all types of events that we would have seen it all and that we would know a thing or two about personalizing things and products. In case you missed it, here are images of what the Sydney Opera House looks like at night.

The stunning light show is the crown jewel in the Vivid Sydney festival. At night stunning images from sails, to textures light up the entire surface. The most apt word is to describe it like a massive kaleidoscopic. The group responsible for this massive light show is a company called 59 Productions. They were responsible for some really cool events, the latest being most notably the 2012 Opening for the London Olympics.

Leo Warner, the director who created these images wanted to tell a story which takes the viewer through a time journey from civilization to modern technology and the process and evolution in between.

Technology Used To Light It Up

There were many different technologies used to light up the Opera House. Obviously there were motion animators drawing and designing textures. However there were also 3 dimensional aspects and techniques used to combine 2d and 3d imagery. In other words a lot of computers and a lot of software!
