Artwork Requirements for Promotional Product Branding

Lasted Updated 4th April 2025

To customise your brand logo onto promotional products and custom apparel, we require your artwork to be provided in the proper format. This ensures the branding is professional and you receive crisp, high-quality, personalised products. This section will guide you through the types of artwork files we would require from you and your organisation for branding. If this is not available, we will offer solutions at the bottom. Please supply us with your Pantone Colour for your logo’s spot colour branding. (alternatively, you can select a colour to print from our Online Pantone Colour Chart – although please note this can only be used as a general guide due to inaccuracies in monitor colours).

Acceptable Files for Custom Branding

1) Adobe Illustrator EPS or PDF (With Outlines)

This is the best format for custom branding on our entire range of promotional products. The files sent to us must be saved with vectorised outlines. If you are unsure, send us the files you have to [email protected], and our team can verify them for you. EPS or PDF files with outlines will suit all custom branding processes, including pad printing, screen printing, embroidery, and full-colour digital printing.

2) High-Resolution Jpegs Logos or Graphics

In certain instances, a high-resolution jpeg might be an acceptable format. It depends on the resolution and sharpness of the jpeg. A JPEG logo or image will only be suitable for the following types of branding and decoration methods:

  • Embroidery (eg: onto corporate jackets)
  • Full Colour Direct Digital printing (eg: onto cheap promotional tee shirts)
  • Full-Colour Transfer printing

It is critical, though, that the image sent through is high-resolution. We do not brand using any other method with jpegs; from our experience, other decoration methods will result in an inferior print result.

Files That Cannot Be Used

The following computer image file formats are not accepted for our branding. These file formats will result in poor print results—formats like BMP, TIFF, GIF, PNG, or non-vectorised PDFs.

Solution: Artwork Conversion for Files That Cannot Be Used

For artwork files that cannot be used for branding, we offer the following services:

  • Logo Conversion: $35 Artwork into Adobe EPS or PDF Format with Vector lines

Advantages of This Service

  • You get to keep the redraw. We will send you the redrawn file so that you can reuse it for your website or print needs with us or anyone else.

Once the redraw is complete, we’ll send you a digital proof to approve the accuracy.

Purchase Ordering Process Visuals

The fun part begins once we have the artwork sorted using the above process. It is time to start the ordering process for your merch and apparel. A visual mock-up will be supplied to you either:

  • Upon request for free (so you can see visually how your product will look)
  • Upon you, the client placed a purchase order (a visual mock-up will be sent for your approval) before branding production.

See our ordering process or call a friendly team member for more details.
