If so you may need to consider needing clothing which is customised with your branding and in your event colours to enhance both the look of your activity as well as inject some pride with your participating volunteers or team members. The season in the past few weeks have definitely crept up on us really quickly and its really cold now. So a simple tee shirt is definitely not enough. This is when you definitely need to consider and plan for what personalised apparel to wear on the day (or days) of the activity. First things first though. Why would you want to consider wearing matching uniforms branded with your logo or event details?
– Credibility – First and foremost having a neatly presented team definitely gives you credibility. Most people will be suspicious if random people asked you for money for a charity. However if they have a smile and a uniform on you may seek to find out what they are representing and what they have on offer.
– Team pride – Some events mean a lot to participants. It may be a charity fund raiser where they have personally experienced the effects of a illness or it may simply be a fun marketing event that they are enthusiastic about. Either way having a well branded piece of clothing has both the effect of being a memento for after the event and a source of pride when worn during the event.
– Advertising – If its a marketing campaign then having branded clothing definitely helps! Your campaign may even have T.V coverage so the additional branding definitely is a bonus.
– To Look Good! – Why need a reason Laughing
With all those benefits in mind here are a few tips to really get the most out of your custom branded clothing. If you have a small event or a big event these tips are equally just as important.
Â
Tip#1 Having event clothing is more than ordering t shirts in various sizes! Almost on a weekly basis I see various marketing or charities that have tee shirts that all match yet all still look a little shabby. This is because other than the shirt they all wear other different items of clothing. From shorts to jeans to chinos to skirts. Ditto with shoes. Sneakers, loafers, heals… anything really. The event look can simply be made smarter if either a complete uniform was purchased or if all participants would have a pre – agreed wardrobe ensemble.
Tip#2 A really obvious one but rarely do people plan for a the weather. So often these past few weeks I have seen people shivering in a loose fitted tee shirt. It effects their performance and most importantly it effects their enthusiasm. So plan ahead and consider what clothing to wear if it becomes a cold day.
Tip#3 Print Colour. Contrast your event or your logo with a reversed print colour. A dark blue logo on a light blue shirt simply does not work no matter how big the logo i. Either use alternate colours of your logo or change the shirt.
Tip 4# Sizes. Medium is simply that! When you have a lot of volunteers and are unsure on what sizes to select make sure you get a variety but always work off medium. So get the most number in medium and then cascade from there into Small, Large and Extra Large. Also always have a few on hand for Extra Extra Large too! Remember if the participants wear something that’s not the right size it can make them look quite daft and its definitely not something you would want.
Tip #5 Good quality and stye is not measured by GSM fabric weight. Nor is it measured by having 100% cotton. If that was the case then all designer brands would simply sell clothing made from 300gsm in 100% cotton! In most instances a more stylish shirt will have lighter fabric but a more fitted cut around the shoulders whilst in other instances a better quality shirt actually has a lower fabric weight but have a mixture of polyester and elastane.
Tip #6 Consider how often your printed garments will be worn. If its worn only on a few occasions darker colours such as blacks and browns will simply be fine. If its an on-going corporate uniform avoid black if possible. It simply is a colour that will never hold well in the wash regardless of the price paid for the garment.
