Wholesale Fidget Toys: Spinners, Cubes & Bubble Poppers

Last Updated: 21 September 2026

If you’re putting together a showbag for the university O-Week or for open days, fidget toys can be a great addition. It’s because they’re affordable and your recipients are likely to enjoy and play with them. While this sounds easy, choosing which among the three types (spinners, cubes and poppers) best suits your campaign can be tricky. In this blog, we’ll share what our account managers think about these three types and which types of events or campaigns they suit best, based on experience.

Why This Category Has More Than Novelty Value

Safe Work Australia’s latest national data shows that mental health conditions now make up 10.5% of all serious workers’ compensation claims, which is a 19.2% increase from the previous year. This is a real reason why a small stress-relief item on someone’s desk isn’t just a gimmick. It’s an affordable way to support something many workplaces are already working on. Repetitive, hands-on movement is known to help with focus and restlessness, and all three of these toys offer that in their own way.
Fidget toys have stayed popular long after their original trend. Spinners were a big hit first, then cubes, and poppers came after, but all three still have steady demand instead of fading away.

Fidget Spinners

A spinner does one thing well: it spins. That’s the main appeal. There’s no learning curve, no instructions, and no need to explain it at a busy stand. Katherine Durham, one of our local account managers, suggests them for:
  • Best for: expos, trade shows, quick giveaways, school events
  • Why it works: cheap enough to distribute at high volume, instantly recognisable, works as a walk-by giveaway.
  • Branding surface: centre cap or side panels
  • Watch for: The small branding area means your logo should be clear and easy to read at a small size, since there isn’t much space available.
Spinners are the quickest of the three to hand out, so they’re a good choice when you want to reach as many people as possible instead of aiming for a long-term desk item. They’re also usually the cheapest per unit, which helps if you need your budget to cover a large group instead of a smaller, targeted audience.

Fidget Cubes

Foldout cubes offer several features in one small device. One side click, another flips, one rolls, one has a dial, and there’s usually a joystick and a smooth “worry stone” surface too. While a spinner fits one fidgeting habit, a cube covers several, so people tend to use it repeatedly instead of just once. For Anil Gupta, one of our Business Development Managers, this type is best for:
  • Best for: office wellbeing gifts, conference swag, desk-based giveaways, staff appreciation gifts
  • Why it works: Its different features encourage people to use it throughout the workday, not just once.
  • Branding surface: one flat side panel, generally large enough for a full logo
  • Watch for: More parts mean it takes a bit longer to decorate than a spinner, so allow extra time, especially for bigger orders close to your event date.
Cubes are best for people who will keep them on their desk and use them often, so they’re a better choice for staff gifts or corporate wellbeing campaigns than for one-off event handouts. If your campaign is about giving staff something useful for their desk, this is usually the best option.

Bubble Poppers

Fidget poppers are a grid of silicone bubbles you press in, then flip over to start again. There’s no learning curve, and you don’t need fine motor skills, which is why it appeals to so many people.
  • Best for: show bags, school and family events, in-store handouts, community festivals
  • Why it works: appeals across a wide age range, from young kids to adults, without needing any explanation.
  • Branding surface: flat surface across the bubble grid, good for a full logo or even a simple pattern design
  • Watch for: Silicone is decorated differently than hard plastic, so make sure the print method works for the material before ordering. Also, check that the colours will last if the item will be handled a lot.

Matching the Toy to Your Event

If your event is… Reach for… Because…
A fast-moving expo or trade show Spinners No explanation needed, cheap to distribute at volume
An office wellbeing or conference gift Fidget cubes Multiple functions hold attention over repeated use
A show bag, school event, or family promotion Bubble poppers Appeals across a wide age range, easy for kids
A mixed-audience campaign A combination Use the cheaper item for volume, the other as a smaller premium add-on

Before You Commit to a Bulk Order

Here are a few practical things to check before placing a large order in this category:
  • Make sure the decoration method matches the toy’s surface. Silicone poppers and hard plastic spinners or cubes need different printing techniques, and not every method works for both.
  • Minimum order quantities are usually set for bulk orders, so a very small batch might cost more per unit than you expect.
  • Turnaround time is more important for cubes because they have more parts, so allow extra time if your event date is set.
  • Think about packaging if the item will go into a show bag instead of being handed out loose. A simple sleeve or header card can make it feel more valuable without adding much cost.

Still Deciding?

If you’re deciding between spinners, cubes, or poppers for your next campaign, it really depends on how long you want the item to keep someone’s attention and how broad your audience is.  Contact our team, and we’ll connect you with an account manager who can help with quantities, decoration options, and choosing the right type for your event.
