Key Points

  • Sticky notes in different formats, like combo pads, shapes, and coloured sheets, support better organisation by matching how people think and plan.
  • Visual cues such as colours and shapes make it easier to prioritise tasks and recall information quickly.
  • Their flexibility allows use across writing, planning, labelling, and everyday organisation, making them a reliable desk essential.

There’s something lovely about peeling off a fresh sticky note from the stack. As someone who enjoys writing and keeping things organised, I’ve realised there’s one tool I always reach for— cheap promotional sticky notes. These little pieces of paper help me make sense of all the thoughts spinning around in my head. My mind gets full of ideas sometimes, and if I don’t write them down, they slip away. That’s why I use sticky notes—they help me stay organised. After trying a bunch of sticky notes, I’ve found three I like: Sticky Combo Pads, Sticky Note Shapes, and Sticky Notes Coloured Paper. They Help me in different ways, and I use them almost daily.

Sticky Combo Adhesive Pads

I use Sticky Combo Promotional Pads almost every day when I’m writing. Each pack has different sizes, which helps when I’ve got a lot of other things to work on. I usually use the small ones for quick ideas or little bits of dialogue, and the bigger ones help when figuring out a chapter’s outline.

What I like most:

  • Different Sizes – One pack has everything I need, whether small notes or bigger planning stuff.
  • Reliable Adhesion: They stick there and peel away cleanly—no gunky residue.
  • Smooth Writing Surface: Even with a fountain pen, there’s no smudging or bleeding.

These notes are at my fingertips whenever I’m mid-draft and need to pin a plot twist or revision. They keep me organised, and my thoughts focused.

Different Shapes

I’ve always liked sticky notes, especially the ones shaped like stars or hearts. They make planning feel softer, more like adding small touches to my day than managing tasks. Just seeing them brings a bit of calm to my space.

Why I Like Them:

  • Stars help me spot important things, and arrows are perfect when I need to link scattered thoughts.
  • The colours and shapes make it easier to remember what goes where.
  • On slower days, just seeing those playful shapes gives me a quiet little nudge to keep going.

Coloured Paper

If you’re like me and tend to think in pictures, digitally printed, colourful sticky notes are a total lifesaver. The bright colours make it easy to map out what I need to do without getting overwhelmed. I usually use them like this:

  • Blue is for my novel annotations, yellow is for blog post ideas, and pink is for life quotations.
  • I can glance at my desk or monitor and instantly know what needs attention.
  • The adhesive holds well, and the edges stay flat—no curling.

These notes keep my thoughts visible and manageable when my schedule gets packed.

Perfect for Marketing Teams

Marketing teams need sticky notes to stay creative and organised. These top 3 picks are based on what we’ve seen gets ordered the most by brands we’ve worked with. They’re great as giveaways and even better for internal use. Because they’re cheaper compared to drink bottles or hoodies, they’re also the go-to tradeshow giveaway for our clients.

What To Brand on The Notes

Another aspect to consider is whether you should put your logo on the sticky notes or go for something else. For marketing teams, we suggest you go for a minimal 1-colour print if it’s for internal use. For events, you have the option to get creative and print catchy lines, explore different shapes, or order combo pads. But if it is a corporate event, keep it minimal. Trade shows or student open days is where creative designs are likely to work.

Sticking with What Works

Over time, I’ve noticed that my small daily things affect my thoughts. Being organised doesn’t mean everything has to be perfect—it just means finding ways that work for my mind. Some days feel packed like everything’s happening at once. Keeping track of things that fit how I think helps me stay calmer.
