Promotional Lipbalm

Cold winters mean dry skin and chapped lips. Having a promotional lip balm or promotional chapsticks makes perfect sense as a promotional product in wintertime. Promotional lipbalms are not just an item for ladies though. It is used just as often by men too. Lipbalm has got me wondering! Why do we need it in the first place? Well lipbalm is used to moisturise the lips because the skin on your lips have no oil glands. This means unlike other parts of the body it has no natural protection. What makes it even worse is that the skin on lips are thinner than other normal skin. It is precisely these 2 factors that make lips dry out and crack easily and also explains why promotional lipbalms appeal to people of all ages. Promotional lipbalm is the easiest and most convenient way to protect lips and also to sooth cracks as well. So what does a custom branded lipbalm contain?

Lipbalms generally are made predominantly from:
– Petroleum Jelly
– Beeswax
– Scented Oils
– Traditional herbs and compounds

Our range of printed lipbalms are made from both Petroleum Jelly & Beeswax depending on which style you select. Lipbalms come in both an unfragranced version as well as a fragranced version. At the moment we released:

– Vanilla
– Watermelon
– Mint
– Tahitian (tropical flavour)
– Carribean Coconut
– Keywest Lime
– Beeswax

These dont add any taste to the lipbalm of course (otherwise they may literally be eaten) but the fragrance they emit is both soothing and pleasant.

What Not To Do with Dry Lips?

What is the first thing people do when lips are dry? Lick’em of course. Did you know that this is definitely NOT advisable? Licking will give temporary relief but thats about it. Licking lips is not a good idea as saliva contains acids and will dry and make the skin worse. To really make the problem worse the drier the skin which is caused by saliva the more you lick hence creating a non stop repeated process.

What Types of Promotional LipBalm are Available? Stick lipbalms are the most covenient. With a simple cap and a rotating bottom these resemble a lipstick and are extremely portable and easy to apply. With mini tubs these are still very portable but not as popular as they require finger application which is not always clean or convenient.

Now really is the perfect time to get your brand name out there on a promotional lipbalm. Think of using them for students or for conferences and even as a fund raising product. With a full colour print they look extremely appealing and they are definitely a product that will be appreciated by all recipients.

Trivia: Did You Know

That the first lipbalms were made from EarWax? I’m deadly serious and in fact I am still researching on if they actually use human earwax or animal earwax. Eitherway the yuk factor is definitely high. What is more frightening is that someone right now thinks it is a good idea to actually re-introduce Ear Wax as a good ingredient for lipbalms. Rest assured though we will not be stocking those in the near or distant future.

The original lip balm was invented by Dr Fleet from Virginia USA. It was invented around the 1880’s.
