How We Helped Macquarie Cloud Services

Last Updated: 12 February 2026

Macquarie Cloud Services, an Australian provider of secure cloud and data centre solutions, approached Cubic Promote ahead of a major tradeshow, seeking guidance on appropriate staff apparel and booth giveaways.
We needed to know what style of apparel will suit the event the best. Also how many garments were forecasted to be required. To assist the client we used our our purpose-trained AI system. Developed for merchandise decisions and to guide product selection, fabric choice and what quantities will be required.

Using Artificial Intelligence

For this project, we used our proprietary AI platform. The Artificial Intelligence platform allows us to
  • select the best fabric options (polyester/cotton mixes)
  • ensure the products produced align with the client’s branding guidelines
  • forecast the estimated number of garments required
  • provide design guidance on custom branding and printing.

About our In-House A.I System

Our A.I system is a purpose-trained artificial intelligence that helps our clients, which are Australian businesses choose, design and order branded merchandise, sports apparel, and corporate uniforms.
Our tool is built on a proven large language model, further refined with proprietary product data, decoration expertise, and historical order trends. This specialised training enables the AI to deliver context-aware, industry-specific recommendations. The result? Clients receive:
  • products that will always align with their brand guidelines
  • money saved on designing custom apparel
  • faster visual mock-ups
  • product recommendations that will always be within budget
  • product recommendations that will always be relevant
This approach ensures speed and consistency in quotes, proposals, and briefs, helping clients move from concept to order with fewer errors.

Human Input – Final Sign Offs

Our team members validate all A.I recommendations and outputs before product production to ensure accuracy, brand alignment.

Our Process

Step 1: Decide on the Type of Apparel

We began the process by using our A.I. tool to research what apparel and giveaway items tech companies give during expos and tradeshows. Then, we were able to come up with recommendations:
  • Polos for their staff to wear during the event
  • T-shirts as giveaways

Step 2: Choosing The Best Fabric

The AI analysed historical order data to determine what would perform best in a tradeshow setting. It reviewed factors such as breathability and durability. Based on this analysis, polyester t-shirts and poly-cotton polo shirts were recommended.

Step 3: Deciding on the Quantity

We wanted to make sure they won’t have too much excess stock after the event. So, we used our AI tool to analyse the typical size distribution of giveaways for a tradeshow and recommended them 60 pieces of polo shirts for their staff and 200 printed tee shirts for their giveaway.

Step 4: Logo Placement and Decoration

Instead of suggesting printing the logo only on the front, our A.I. system analysed how a tradeshow works and came up with an idea: print a small logo on the front and a larger one on the back.

By matching the type of fabric and its intended use, the system was also able to suggest what branding method we could use: screen printing for t-shirts, and embroidery for the polo shirts.

Results

Instead of comparing random options, we were able to quickly provide them with the recommendations based on what they needed. With our A.I. system guiding our team from product selection to deciding on the quantity, we helped Macquarie Cloud Services enhance their visibility at the tradeshow, while avoiding excess stock and unsuitable fabric choices.
