Client: Containers for Change – a state-run recycling initiative operating in Queensland and Western Australia, helping communities recycle bottles and cans in exchange for refunds while promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility.

What was ordered?
1,000 branded bucket hats featuring the Containers for Change logo, along with 700 custom caps printed with the program’s branding.

Purpose?
To give to volunteers, staff, and community participants during recycling events and awareness campaigns.

How were the bucket hats used?
Containers for Change ordered the bucket hats and caps to distribute at community clean-up days, school visits, and local recycling events. The bucket hats provided sun protection for volunteers and participants, while the newly added caps offered a lighter, everyday option that supporters could comfortably wear year-round.

Made in a bright, eco-inspired colour with the Containers for Change logo embroidered on the front, the bucket hats were easy to spot at events. The caps, featuring matching branding, became a popular choice among younger participants and staff who preferred a more casual style.

Both items helped reinforce the program’s identity and its commitment to sustainability. Volunteers loved the headwear and continued wearing the bucket hats and caps to future recycling drives and outdoor activities. Many also wore them in daily life, keeping the Containers for Change message present in the broader community.

The initiative combined practicality with purpose — a simple, effective way to thank supporters, promote recycling awareness, and strengthen the organisation’s presence within the Queensland and Western Australian communities it serves.
