The Wollongong University Postgraduate Association (WUPA) wanted to enhance the experience of their postgraduate students by organising a series of orientation events to welcome them at the start of the school year. For this year’s orientation week, they sought giveaways that the students could use throughout the school year, and custom kick cups were the perfect option. They got 150 of these, custom printed with their logo. As a highly practical item, the cups could be used for everything from on-campus events to social gatherings, and they were designed to be both functional and visually appealing.

The staff surprised their students with these on the first day of orientation week. Upon receiving them, the students cheered, with many mentioning how handy these branded kick cups would be for their daily coffee or just their water breaks. Given out during the orientation, these kick cups provided more than just a warm welcome for their students. These kick cups fostered a sense of unity between the students and the whole WUPA community. While it was just a thoughtful keepsake for their students, WUPA built stronger ties with them while boosting their visibility year-round.
