Jodi Lee Bowel Cancer  Foundation

We recently worked with the Jodi Lee Foundation, a national non-profit focused on preventing bowel cancer, to help boost their outreach in regional South Australia. For the series of events they hosted as part of their “Talking Sh!t” Campaign in Whyalla, Port Augusta, and Port Pirie, they wanted a friendly way to start important conversations. We provided a bulk order of 16cm Promotional Mini Footballs, connecting community sport with health advocacy.

Production Process

Ordering these mini footballs in bulk helped the Jodi Lee Foundation make the most of its budget and reach more people in three key regional areas. They requested that we print a message on the footballs: “Bowel Screening Saves Lives.” Our design team ensured the print was clear and long-lasting, aligned with the foundation’s branding, and kept things fun for community events. The 16cm size was chosen because it’s easy to carry and appeals to everyone, making it perfect for the campaign’s roadshow.

Results

The campaign received great feedback. The foundation said the footballs “looked good and were loved by the people” in every community they visited. Many of the footballs were signed by AFL legend Gavin Wanganeen, which added excitement and prestige. Having a well-known sports figure support the campaign with a quality product helped people feel more comfortable and interested in the foundation’s message. The footballs led to a 4.4% increase in booth interactions, turning a simple giveaway into a memorable way to start conversations. Visit Jodi Lee Foundation website

Why Arianne Recommends Custom Mini Footballs?

I always recommend mini sports gear for regional community health projects because it quickly builds a positive connection with people. In places where sports are central to the community, a branded football helps make a serious topic easier to talk about. By choosing a bulk order and making sure the footballs could be signed by someone like Gavin Wanganeen, we gave the Jodi Lee Foundation a valuable tool that matched their budget and mission.
