Linkd Tourism ordered travel lint rollers branded with the Port of Seattle logo for a marketing campaign. Linkd Tourism works across travel trade representation, marketing, media and PR, events and consumer campaigns. Because the merchandise was connected to the travel industry, we wanted the product itself to feel relevant rather than choosing another general giveaway.
The Brief
Mary Aguirre-Cruz, our account manager, handled the order and worked with the client on the branding, quantity and production requirements. Travel lint rollers made sense because they are compact and genuinely useful for people moving between flights, meetings, events and dinners. They can sit inside a handbag, carry-on or suitcase without taking up much space, which gave the product a natural connection to the campaign.
We Secured an Extra A$200 Saving
The order quantity also gave Mary an opportunity to look at the unit pricing. By securing a lower cost per piece, we saved the client $200 AUD. We also focused on:
- keeping the Port of Seattle logo clear on the smaller branding area
- making sure the item stayed lightweight and travel-friendly
- choosing merchandise recipients could continue using after the campaign
- maintaining a consistent finish across the full order
Results
The travel lint rollers were a hit with recipients. For us, that was a good example of why relevance matters with promotional products. It wasn’t the largest or most expensive giveaway, but it fit the audience well. Recipients got something they could genuinely use while travelling, and Linkd Tourism also saved A$200 through better unit pricing.
