Telstra Store Richmond

Telstra Store Richmond is one of sponsors of the 2-day Family Sports Weekend in Richmond, Victoria. They knew the usual banners won’t help so they decided to give out something fun and interactive. They ordered 700 custom volleyballs and handed them out to the participants who joined. The volleyballs instantly attracted attention. Kids lined up to participate, and passers-by were drawn to the giveaways. By the end of the day, the volleyballs were seen everywhere—on picnic blankets, under arms, and in play across the park.

Results (compared to previous community events):

• 5% improvement in community engagement, based on conversations about phone plans and NBN offers sparked by the volleyball giveaway

The volleyballs not only got people moving—they created conversations, made Telstra feel part of the community, and led to valuable inquiries about their services.
