How Our Wholesale Balloons Are Made
The standard promotional balloons in Cubic Promote’s range are manufactured from a natural latex fibre derived from rubber tree sap. The factory mixes stabilisers and curing agents into the latex so that it is sturdy enough to craft into a traditional rounded balloon shape. During the mixing process we also apply tinting, which utilises dye pigments to turn the raw latex formula into a particular colour before shaping takes place. After we form the balloon shape from our latex mix, we hot water wash it to remove any surface debris, cure the balloon in a specially designed oven, then finally blast it with some high-pressure water and air before it heads off, clean and dry, for packaging in bulk bags.
Personalised Printing on Balloons
Part of what makes our balloons truly exceptional is the fact that we can add your desired custom print to them using our printing processes. Depending on the size and colours of your design we may use offset printing or silk screen printing to achieve your preferred outcome. Offset printing involves using specially designed plates, one for each colour, to imprint the design directly onto the balloon. This method is not dissimilar from pad printing on other products.
Silk screen logo printing on balloons is basically the same process as people use when screen printing on customised bags or t-shirts, a screen has your design cut out of it and then it is pressed against an inflated balloon, which forces the ink through the screen’s mesh onto the balloon in the shape of your logo or message. The inks we use for decorating logos and slogans onto balloons are specially designed for fast-drying and the retention of image integrity on inflated surfaces so you can be confident that your print will look amazing upon completion.
