Key Points

  • Cubic Promote prepared for the Australasian Gaming Expo 2025 with a booth of branded merchandise.
  • Setup day involved unpacking stock, building displays, arranging merchandise, and preparing for thousands of venue owners and hospitality managers who would attend the expo.
  • We know strong event preparation attracts more visitors and creates a better first impression.

The Australasian Gaming Expo is one of the biggest trade shows for the club and hospitality industry, bringing together owners and managers of pubs, RSL clubs, sporting clubs, and community clubs. They come to see the latest slot machines, gaming technology, and services that can help their venues thrive. For Cubic Promote, it’s our chance to showcase promotional products that help these venues build their brands and keep their members and customers engaged.

But today isn’t about the polished expo floor. Setup day is nothing like the actual event. No shiny displays or excited crowds yet—just forklifts dodging around boxes, workers on scissor lifts, and everyone in high-vis vests trying to get things done by tomorrow’s deadline.

Why We’re Here

Pubs need branded merchandise for events and promotions, RSL clubs want quality gifts for member appreciation, sporting clubs need items for fundraising and awards nights, and community clubs are always looking for ways to engage their members. We’re here to show them exactly what’s possible—and why choosing the right promotional partner can make all the difference for their venue. This expo matters for Cubic Promote because it’s where club owners and managers come to find solutions for their venues.

Getting ready at Cubic Promote

We started the morning at our Cubic Promote main office, looking at stacks of boxes everywhere. Each one was packed with our promotional drink bottles, caps, bags, and custom tech items—all waiting to showcase what we can do for clients. Getting our contractor passes felt like stepping into a different world where deadlines and teamwork are everything.

Building Our Stand

When we found our spot, it was just four empty walls and a concrete floor. That’s all we had to work with. But that’s when the magic started. We put up shelves, unpacked our products, and began arranging everything. Bright drink bottles lined up in rows, notebooks stacked up nicely, and colourful shirts and hoodies went on display. We ensured everything looked good so visitors could envision their logo on our products. All around us, other stands were taking shape too. People were rolling out carpet, adjusting lights from those tall lifts, and hanging massive banners way up high.

End of a Long Day

By late afternoon, our space had turned into something we were proud of. All the mess from the morning was gone, replaced by a clean display that was ready for business.

Walking out, we could still hear hammering and drilling everywhere. But you could also feel the excitement building. Tomorrow, thousands of people will walk through those doors looking for promotional products and marketing solutions. We put in the hard work today so that when they show up tomorrow, they’ll stop at our booth and remember Cubic Promote.

Why Exhibiting at Trade Shows Helps

When exhibiting at trade shows, you only have 2 main reasons for doing so: (1) generate leads or (2) sell items. Trade shows like the AGE Expo allow us to strike conversations with different companies from the club and hospitality industry. For us, it meant we got to generate leads that could potentially order merch or staff uniforms from us.
