About the Client
Nobby’s is Australia’s leading nut brand, made by The Smith’s Snackfood Company, a division of PepsiCo. Known for their iconic slogan, “Nibble Nobby’s nuts,” they have entertained Aussies for decades. Furthermore, the brand is renowned for its fun image and popularity in Australian pubs, clubs, and supermarkets. With a variety of flavours and mixes, Nobby’s remains the top choice for a quick snack.

Our Brief
When Nobby’s marketing team approached Cubic Promote, they needed around nine products but had no clear ideas or designs. To address this, we collaborated closely with their team to brainstorm slogans and develop designs. Although this gave us significant creative freedom, it also required careful planning to ensure every idea aligned with their brand identity and values.

Our Solution
To begin, we studied the history of Nobby’s Nuts and reviewed their past campaigns. Additionally, we explored Australian snack culture to better understand the brand’s context. This research enabled us to recommend branded bottle openers and custom drink coasters, which perfectly complemented their connection to social gatherings. Moreover, bucket hats and promotional aprons emerged as standout solutions. The aprons featured bold, playful designs, including a graphic of a naked gentleman, which was both complex to execute and a clear highlight of the range.

In conclusion, this project was a creative challenge for our team and an exciting collaboration with Nobby’s marketing team.
