South Grafton High School wanted their crest out in the community — at open days, sport carnivals and the school gate. So we produced 300 large golf umbrellas with a full-colour print of the school crest and name, sharp against a black canopy.

A bag to build a goodie bag around
South Grafton High School wanted their crest out in the community — at open days, sport carnivals and the school gate. A school crest carries a lot — history, colours, a motto. They wanted theirs reproduced properly on something staff and the community would actually use outdoors: gate duty in the rain, sport carnivals, open days and presentation nights. A large golf umbrella gives the crest room to breathe and doubles as shelter and shade.

Full colour on a dark canopy
The crest is detailed — two gold lions, a red shield, a Southern Cross and the “Sursum Spectantes” banner. We used full-colour print so every element holds up on the black canopy, with the school name set cleanly below in the school’s gold. Printing on a dark base is where cheaper jobs go muddy; getting the reds and golds to sit bright was the whole task, and at 300 units the print stayed consistent across the run.
Early, under budget, ready to fill
Hannah Calvo and Mary Haycell Aguirre delivered all 300 on schedule and on budget. An umbrella is a big, moving canvas — it puts the crest at eye level across a crowded carnival or a wet pick-up line, working as shelter and signage at once.
