O’Brien in Victoria
O’Brien wanted a giveaway that didn’t just carry the logo — it was the product. So we tooled a bespoke mould in the shape of their boiler unit and printed it in full colour, contact details and all, for the team in Victoria.

Make the product the giveaway
Most stress balls are a sphere with a logo slapped on. O’Brien wanted the opposite: a giveaway that looked like what they do. Their team pictured a miniature of one of their own boiler units — something a tradie or facilities manager would keep on the desk, squeeze in a meeting, and instantly associate with the brand. That meant no off-the-shelf shape would do.
“The stress balls turned out exactly how we hoped — we’ll absolutely be reaching out to Cubic Promote again for future projects.”
A bespoke mould, printed in full colour
Hannah Calvo and Mary Haycell Aguirre worked from O’Brien’s boiler design to tool a custom mould, then printed each unit in full colour — including the phone number and email — so the finished ball is a working brand cue, not just a toy. Custom tooling is the fiddly part of a job like this, and we hit a small snag near the end; the team worked through it with O’Brien and still landed the run inside the agreed budget and timeline.
A desk fixture that sells the product
The full run reached the Victoria team on time and on budget, and the finished shape did exactly what a custom mould should: it turned a giveaway into a talking point. A branded object that mirrors the actual product earns far more shelf life than a printed sphere — and O’Brien were pleased enough to place a repeat order. Read more about O’Brien.
