Logos Can Cost a Lot or Nothing At All
Some of the most iconic logos cost almost nothing. Others that you are familiar with cost millions of dollars to design. You will be astounded at the price of some logos. Some of the most expensive logos to date are:
The BBC Logo cost $1.8million dollars

The Pepsi Logo & Obama 08 logo cost $1 million

The 2012 London Olympics cost $665,400
I can only imagine that there were teams of designers, creative types, countless revisions and endless focus groups would have been used to make these logos cost that much.
On the other end of the scale though these logos cost very little.
Google was created by Sergey Brin the co-founder of the company. He drew it on a graphics program called GIMP. He is really proud of it because GIMP was really difficult to use according to him.

Coca Cola was created by the co-founder Frank M. Robinson. He thought that the C’s would look great in capital letters together.

Twitter Logo cost $15. The artist Simon Oxley received $6.00 for it.

Nike cost $35. The co-founder offered a student the chance to create it and did not like it originally. However he hoped it would grow on him.
Familiar Logos Do Not Need Text
Nike, Apple McDonald’s and Target are so recognisable that they do not even bother with putting their company name in text on them.
Logos Influence us Early In Life
According to research 3-5 Year Old Toddlers begin to associate some logo’s with some products. In research it shows that almost 67% of toddlers match logos and products correctly. When you reach the age of 7-8 years old that association with a logo and a corresponding product reach an astounding 100%.
