APPA’s Trends in Promotional Products

Today, we are going to talk about my experience attending the annual Sydney Roadshow held by APPA (The Australasian Promotional Products Association). Alongside all of our esteemed peers in the promotional industry, the team from Cubic Promote attended this show to get a first-hand look at what’s trending and what new promotional products will be hitting the market over the next few months.

Promotional Product Industry: What’s Trending?

Sustainable Promotional Product Solutions

One important trend that we noticed at this year’s event is that many suppliers are focusing on their eco-friendly promotional products. It was great to see how innovative materials remain a draw card even in 2023. We got an opportunity to view Re-Loved Apparel fabric which is made with a blend of RPET/organic cotton. These items were particularly impressive as they are buttery soft but also naturally stretchy, durable and wrinkle-resistant. We were thrilled with their high-quality finish!

Businesses need to prioritize promotional eco-friendly products nowadays as people across the globe are showing increasing concern for environmental and health issues. By limiting production-harmful impacts on our environment through sustainable practices such as reducing packaging waste, companies can reduce their carbon footprint while enhancing brand reputation among consumers who value ethical businesses.

Moreover, using renewable materials and recycling helps decrease plastic waste accumulation-which has risen alarmingly especially in oceans endangering marine life significantly. So companies must promote different eco-friendly product alternatives not only because it benefits them financially but also positively impacts lives.

We also loved how there was a push towards bespoke solutions for low minimum orders like promotional plush toys that come in retail-style packaging! Since COVID-19 hit us, logistics have improved tremendously allowing international factories catering smaller orders coupled with higher complexity levels (like unique shapes/designs) easier than before., This means lots of fun items like toys, sports balls and stationary coming your way soon!

Branding solutions are seeing some developments too. For instance, Ultracolor introduced digital heat transfers – their efficient and vibrant print process that allows for digital designs to be added to anything like promotional jackets or tote bags! Now branding methods that were already excellent (like digital transfers) have become even better which means our clients can expect top-tier results for their branded merchandise.
