Amused Group

black cap printed with BetDeluxe logo

Amused Group is a Melbourne-headquartered online wagering and technology business working across sport, racing and entertainment. They have a new betting platform called BetDeluxe, which they wanted to promote. So they ordered 1,000 pieces of branded caps for their staff to wear during events and for them to give to prospects. I helped coordinate the order and make sure the branding worked naturally with the cap rather than overpowering it.

From Screen to Street

I think caps are a great option because they:
  • Fit naturally with sport and racing, two areas closely connected to Amused Group.
  • Bring the brand into everyday settings away from screens.
  • Work across team activities, events and casual wear.
  • Keep the branding visible without feeling like formal corporate uniform.
  • Make it something people want to wear again, not pack away after one use.
The understated black cap also gave the logo enough presence without turning it into a walking billboard. So I gave them 5 black cap options to choose from.

Getting the Branding Right

We immediately sent them a free artwork mockup to approve before we started production. Their team approved the artwork right away, so our team got started on production. We kept the logo placement neat and the overall look restrained, so the cap still felt like something people would choose to wear. The client was happy with how everything came together, calling the caps “perfect” once they arrived.

Result

Amused Group loved how the logo looked on the caps! This also became a hit at one of their events, with people lining up to get their share of the caps. The caps felt right at home in that environment. They were relaxed enough for people to throw on casually, while still carrying the Amused Group name wherever they went.
