Client: Expedia, Wotif and Stayz – three of Australia’s leading travel brands, part of the Expedia Group, offering travellers a wide range of options for flights, hotels, accommodation and unique stays.

What was ordered? 800 picnic cooler baskets printed with all three brands’ logos.

Purpose? To distribute as premium gifts during a summer promotional tour targeting loyal customers and travel partners across Australia.

How were the picnic cooler baskets used?

Expedia, Wotif and Stayz jointly organised a “Summer Getaway Roadshow” event that visited key metropolitan and regional centres to celebrate their travel brands and engage with loyal customers, travel agents and accommodation partners. At each stop, attendees received one of the branded picnic cooler baskets as a token of appreciation for their support and participation.

Each cooler basket was designed with sturdy insulation, featuring a dual-brand print of Expedia/Wotif/Stayz logos, along with travel-themed artwork, making it instantly recognisable and travel-friendly. The baskets were used by recipients at picnics, beach outings and BBQs — keeping the brands visible in summer scenes and reinforcing the travel lifestyle message.

Many recipients shared their picnic moments on social media, tagging the brands and showcasing the baskets in use — extending the campaign’s reach beyond the event itself.

This thoughtful giveaway not only rewarded key customers and partners but also aligned perfectly with the brand’s promise of travel, adventure and memorable experiences.
