EverAbility Group

EverAbility Group, a Perth-based parent organisation behind VisAbility, ordered branded rulers and pens from us. For an organisation focused on vision support services through VisAbility, a magnifying ruler is not just a novelty. It is a practical tool that clients, families, and community members can use every day, whether for reading small print, filling out forms, or other low-vision tasks. Pairing it with branded pens gave EverAbility a simple and useful two-item set, perfect for handing out at community events, client intake sessions, and outreach activities across its services.
Production process
By ordering pens and magnifying rulers together in bulk, they lowered the per-unit cost compared to buying each item separately. This was important for an organisation that needs to make every dollar count for its main mission of service delivery. Production used simple pad printing for the pens and a clear, durable print on the magnifying ruler’s lens frame. This was chosen to handle frequent use by clients who rely on these items, not just display them. The print placement on the low-vision aid also had to ensure good contrast and clarity, so the branding would not detract from the tool’s main purpose.
Feedback from their team
They were really happy with the discounts we secured for them. Not-for-profits face different financial pressures than commercial businesses. Every dollar saved on merchandise can be used for client services, so getting a good discount on a combined order means more than just saving money. Shealeigh set up the order to secure the best volume pricing for both items, ensuring EverAbility benefited from a single combined production run rather than paying more for two smaller orders. This approach helped the organisation’s wider community outreach, and EverAbility reported a 2.8% increase in event engagement at activities where the pens and magnifying rulers were given out.
Why Functional Items Build Lasting Goodwill
Charities and community service organisations get the most value from merchandise people want to keep and use, not from items thrown away after an event. A pen is likely to be reused at home or work. For an organisation focused on vision support, a magnifying ruler goes further. It shows a real understanding of the community’s needs, turning a simple giveaway into a true extension of EverAbility’s core purpose.
