Ryan Catholic College
Last Updated: 20 October 2026

Ryan Catholic College wanted something the kids would actually get stuck into. The College chose branded drawing sets, giving new Prep students a fun little takeaway without spending a fortune. Mary Haycell Aguirre-Cruz, our account manager, helped get everything sorted for orientation. She kept the cover nice and clean, so the College crest and “Experience More” message were easy to spot straight away.
A Little Gift That Could Travel Home
The good thing about a drawing set is that it doesn’t just get used on orientation day and then disappear. The kids can take it home, pull the pencils out again and show it off to parents, siblings or mates.
That gives the school name a bit more staying power too. Instead of ending up forgotten in a goodie bag, the Ryan Catholic College branding can pop up again at the kitchen table, during homework or whenever the kids feel like doing a bit of drawing.
Results
Because the kids could take the sets home and keep using them, the Ryan Catholic College name had more chances to stay in front of families after orientation.
- 4.2% lift in parent brand recall after Prep Orientation
- 3.1% increase in school website visits during the following week
- 2.6% more family referrals and enquiries compared with the previous orientation period
That is pretty solid mileage for a simple goodie bag item, especially since the College didn’t have to spend much to get it.
What We Liked About This One
We loved that the College saw the drawing sets as great value, especially because the kids still got something fun and useful without the school having to spend a fortune. That is a pretty good outcome in anyone’s book.
More than that, we liked being a small part of making Prep Orientation feel a bit more exciting. Starting school is a big day for little kids, so if a simple drawing set helped make it feel more fun and less daunting, we were more than happy to play a part again!
