About the Association
The Flinders University Student Association (FUSA) represents students across the university, supporting their rights, wellbeing, and campus experience. The organisation runs a range of services, including advocacy and support programs, clubs, and student-led communities.
The Requirement
FUSA needed a simple, cost-effective item that could be handed out in large numbers during busy campus periods. The focus was on practicality—something students would use straight away, especially during sign-ups, enquiries, and interactions at the information desk. The item also needed to support everyday engagement, particularly during O’Week when student activity is at its peak.
What They Ordered
They selected 1,200 purple-branded pens, featuring both the FUSA name and website. The colour aligned with Flinders University branding, helping the pens stand out while remaining consistent with the campus look. The pens were distributed during O’Week and made available at information desks throughout the semester.
How Students Used Them
The pens were picked up and used immediately across common student activities:
- Filling out forms and membership sign-ups
- Taking notes during classes and meetings
- Keeping in bags for everyday campus use
