Our Stance on Aboriginal Engagement

Last Updated: 31 March 2025

Acknowledging Country and Traditional Custodians

Honour for the Traditional Custodians of these lands in which we reside. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging—and recognise their unbroken relationship with land, waters, and culture. The connection of the Aboriginals to the land stretches back over 80,000 years. In our head office, located at Suite 402, Level 4, 56 Clarence Street in Sydney’s CBD, we have learnt that it was the Gadigal people of the Eora nation that first settled. As such, we extend recognition and respect to both the Gadigal and all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders nationwide. Cubic Promote recognises the cultural heritage and contributions to Australia’s identity.

Partnering with Aboriginal Artist Julianne Wade

We are privileged to collaborate with Whadjuk artist Julianne Wade, a gifted Aboriginal creative from Perth, to bring authentic artwork to our clients. Through this partnership, businesses can commission original designs for merchandise through us, including gift box sets, promotional lip balms, mugs and more. Items infused with Julianne’s cultural storytelling. Her work, rooted in her connection to her Country, uniquely aligns your brand with the Aborigines and shows your organisation’s support. We blend her vision with our 20+ years of design expertise to deliver standout designs to our entire merchandise and custom apparel range. This is a separate service we offer in addition to our Graphic Design Services.

Fostering Cultural Education

Beyond artwork, we’re dedicated to deepening our understanding through cultural education sessions. Our team participates in annual structured conversations to acknowledge and explore Aboriginal history and culture. These sessions enrich our day-to-day work and also benefit us so that we may approach projects with sensitivity and insight. This is all to reflect our broader diversity policy, which champions inclusion across all communities. By learning from Aboriginal voices, we strengthen our ability to serve clients with respect and authenticity.

Building Meaningful Connections

We further acknowledge Aboriginals by speaking of them at events and actively encourage those of Aboriginal descent to apply for senior and junior roles within our business. As an Aussie-owned business with a headquarters in Sydney, we see it as a responsibility to deliver quality merchandise and promote Aboriginal voices where and when we can. Cubic Promote also apply the same level of integrity outlined in our Ethical Sourcing Policy to ensure our partnerships are responsible and transparent.
