How to Clean Plant Containers

If your plant pots have built-up grime or you're just looking to use them for new plants, it is essential to clean and disinfect them before you perform any repotting. While some insist on using bleach, white vinegar is a budget and eco-friendly option for sterilising plant pots. Mix 30% white vinegar with 70% water (hot) and soak the planter for 2 hours. Next, clean off any surface muck using a brush, rinse the planter in water and allow it to dry. After this, you should be able to add a new plant and potting mix to the planter without worrying about built-up salts or other contaminants.
