This is an interesting product that I came across. Visually without know what this product below is, you may simply think of it as a piece of art or merely a printed poster. This particular product you see is quite special. It utilizes a very special ink that conducts electricity. Hook this ink up to some micro chips and these inventors have come up with an ink that synchronize to your Smart Phone via Bluetooth. The result is that this poster will enable people who touch it to have a tune that is inline with their touch. In other words a fully interactive poster where you can feel and listen to the print.

The Future of Printing?

Would this be the future of printing? If it is then the possibilities are quite surreal. Imagine flipping through a magazine whilst you have your headphones on. Whilst you flip through the pages your magazine will literally be talking and singing to you as you touch and browse. How about a business card that will have different sound reactions when you run your fingers over it.

This particular print was develeoped by a company called Novalia as a bit of an experiment to see how far new technology can take print in new directions. Many think that technology has eroded the value of print. Perhaps this small step may be in the right direction to creating print that has resonates more with people on an interactive level.

Prototype Singing Poster

This particular poster utilizes 16 different colours. Each colour represents a different herb or spice. The developer then took a basic musical note to denote each colour. When you touch the inks an electrical signal transmits sound to your bluetooth enabled device. When you run your fingers quickly on the poster that is where the fun and magic begins.
