When a client calls in a panic because their event is tomorrow and their branded items haven’t been ordered yet, we don’t panic with them. We act. At Cubic Promote, we’ve built an entire operational framework around fast-turnaround promotional products, designed to help businesses meet last-minute deadlines without sacrificing quality or professionalism. This isn’t marketing talk — it’s a system refined over years of serving thousands of Australian organisations.

Here’s a (non-glamourous) look behind the scenes at how our team makes it happen. Starting with images of the print facility factory in Sydney. It is messy, but I like to call it organised chaos.

A messy art studio table, scattered with supplies and paint cans, hints at rush orders in progress.

1. Always Prepared: Spare Machines on Standby

One of the biggest misconceptions about fast-turnaround orders is that we simply “rush” existing jobs. In reality, our speed starts with planning, not panic.

“We always have machines that aren’t tied to a print queue, They’re fully functional, calibrated, and sitting idle for one reason — so we can jump straight into a rush job.”

Ourselves and our suppliers all maintain spare branding machinery including embroidery and digital printing machines dedicated to accommodating urgent projects. That means when you call at 11 a.m. for a 24-hour turnaround, we can actually start printing that same hour — without disrupting our regular production flow.

2. Three Tiers of Rush Orders — Because Not Every Deadline Is the Same

Not every client needs a 24-hour miracle. Some have three days; some have five.  To make sure we serve each case fairly, we’ve structured our production around three distinct rush tiers:

Rush Tier Production Time (Excl. Freight) Use Case
24-Hour Rush Dispatched within one business day Urgent events, small print runs.
3-Day Rush Dispatched within three business days Mid-size campaigns or trade events.
5-Day Rush Dispatched within five business days Larger, complex branding requirements.

🕛 Cut-off Time: Orders confirmed by 12:00 p.m. qualify for our 24-hour dispatch, subject to print method and stock availability. This flexibility enables clients to strike a balance between urgency and cost that best suits their needs.

3. The People Behind the Process

Fast production isn’t automated magic — it’s powered by real people who care about deadlines. When rush jobs come in, our production and warehouse teams shift gears immediately. We’ve built a system where backup staff and machine operators can be called in on short notice, and yes — sometimes that means staying late.

“There are nights when you’ll find us here after hours,” says one of our digital print operators. “We’ll be curing ink under the lamps at 10 p.m. just to make sure a client’s order is on the courier by morning. It’s satisfying — stressful sometimes — but satisfying.”

In fact, our records show that in the past Australian financial year (1st July 2024 till 30th June 2025) alone:

  • 1,753 Australian organisations received their branded products within a week using our rush services.
  • Of these, 33% were based in NSW, 25% in VIC, 24% in QLD, 8% in ACT, and 10% across WA and SA.
  • And most proudly: 100% of confirmed rush orders were completed successfully.

That success rate is built on communication, teamwork, and a willingness to go the extra mile (sometimes literally).

4. We Never Skip the Cure

One thing we never compromise on is print integrity. Even in a rush, inks need time to dry or cure — whether it’s digital transfer, screen printing, or pad printing. Skipping that step might get an order out the door faster, but it would sacrifice durability and colour fidelity.

“There’s a temptation to speed things up by pushing items straight to packing,” our print manager admits. “But that’s not Cubic Promote. We’d rather stay back an extra hour than send out a product that won’t last.”

That’s what separates fast turnaround from rushed work.

5. How We Manage Rush Jobs Without Chaos

To keep things fair for all clients, we use a dynamic production queue system. When a confirmed rush order comes in:

  • We reallocate jobs across machines to free up capacity.
  • Non-urgent jobs may be temporarily paused (clients are informed).
  • Our production leads coordinate scheduling and machine assignments to ensure a smooth workflow.

Because of this, we can often handle multiple rush orders simultaneously — without losing track of any in-progress jobs.

6. Why Rush Orders Cost More

We’re always transparent about cost — and here’s why rush jobs are priced differently. Fast-turnaround production can involve:

  • Overtime pay for after-hours staff.
  • Premium freight options to meet tight deadlines.
  • Print queue reshuffling that affects standard workflows.
  • Extra handling and QC checks under compressed timelines.

These costs reflect the real human effort and logistical adjustments needed to make express production possible — while maintaining the same high Cubic Promote standard.

7. When Rush Isn’t Possible (And Why We’ll Tell You Early)

While we do everything we can to accommodate urgent jobs, there are limits. We’ll always be honest if:

  • A product’s decoration method (like engraving) can’t meet the timeframe.
  • Stock availability is low or dependent on external suppliers.
  • Freight conditions (e.g., remote destinations, weather impacts) could prevent on-time delivery.

We prefer to inform clients upfront, before payment, rather than overpromise.  It’s all part of our 100% delivery integrity policy — if we say we can do it, we will.

8. The Quiet Power of Preparation

What most clients never see is the planning that makes “fast” possible.  Our warehouse is arranged for quick stock access, our artwork approvals are streamlined through digital proofing systems, and our freight partners are pre-booked for express dispatch slots. It’s not luck — it’s preparation.

“Fast turnaround isn’t about working in a frenzy,” says our Operations Lead. “It’s about being ready before the order even arrives.”

9. Proven Speed, Proven Trust

We’ve helped thousands of Australian businesses meet impossible deadlines — from corporate launches in Sydney to charity events in Brisbane and trade expos in Melbourne. When speed matters most, you can trust Cubic Promote to make it happen — professionally, transparently, and on time.
