Our Partnership with Springside West Secondary College
Springside West Secondary College is a Victorian government secondary school in Fraser Rise, on Melbourne’s north-western edge, with around 1,600 students and over 190 staff. To thank their teachers for World Teachers’ Day, the college ordered branded sticky note pad sets printed with the school’s tree logo.
The Brief and What We Recommended
Gabriella Varsamakis from the school wanted a gift that teachers would actually use, small enough to hand out at a staff gathering, and clearly branded with the school crest. From there, we walked her through our four-step process:
- First, we recommended a hardcover sticky note pad set over a plain pad because it holds up better in a staffroom bag.
- Next, we sent a free quote within the hour, and because the order was going out to nearly 200 staff, the volume brought the price per pad down to a sensible level.
- After that, our team prepared a digital mock-up with the tree logo printed in orange to match the school’s brand colour, along with the school name in soft grey underneath.
Once Gabriella approved the mock-up, the pads went into production, and the finished order was then quality-checked and shipped from our Sydney warehouse well before World Teachers’ Day. Inside each folder, there’s a yellow sticky pad along with five colour flag strips in pink, orange, green, lime, and light pink, which are handy for marking, lesson prep, and everyday desk notes.
Gabriella’s Feedback and Working with Our Account Manager
After delivery, Gabriella wrote in:
“Thank you so much for your help in organising this. They look incredible, and I can’t wait to hand them out to teachers in the coming months for World Teachers’ Day.”
Ariane Milarpez is a Cubic Promote account manager who works closely with schools, government agencies, and community groups, so she has a good sense of what staff will actually use and what tends to end up in a drawer. For this order, she recommended the hardcover pad style because the cover protects the pages, keeps the branding looking clean, and feels more thoughtful as a staff gift than a plain pad would.
Why Sticky Note Pad Is Ideal for School Giveaways
Teachers already have plenty of school items, so a gift that gets daily use beats one that gets a nice reaction on the day but ends up in a drawer by the end of the week. Sticky note pad sets work well here because the hardcover keeps the pad clean in a work bag, the colour flags get used across marking and planning, and the branded cover puts the school’s logo on a desk item that stays out in front of students, parents, and visiting staff.
For schools comparing gift options, pad sets are often a better choice than chocolate boxes or one-off cards since the unit price stays low at volume, the branding lasts, and the item earns a place on the desk.
