BARIBUNMANI- bouncy balls

The University Centre for Rural Health Northern Rivers has a youth program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students called Baribunmani Wanyi Ngay. Held at their Lismore campus, this program teaches different health-related skills for the youth. To keep their students engaged during the sessions, they ordered 1,000 bouncy balls from Cubic Promote. The goal was to provide a fun, interactive item that supported the program’s focus on connection, physical activity, and cultural learning. Each bouncy ball, featuring the Bari logo and program colours, was handed out during the sessions that quarter.

Key Metrics & Results:

  • 5% higher attendance at follow-up sessions, with participants citing the excitement of the bouncy balls as a memorable highlight in post-event surveys
  • 100% smiles from the students who received the balls (mentioned by the staff)

By choosing the bouncy balls, University Centre for Rural Health Northern Riversincreased the attendance in the follow-up sessions they had for the program, while keeping their students smiling and engaged.
