You'd be surprised what you can do with a custom USB drive. Car giants Chrysler, the name behind Jeep vehicles, have recently taken advantage of USB technology to get them out of a sticky situation and save them a lot of time, trouble and money.

A recent stunt by WIRED revealed a frightening safety issue with the software in Jeep vehicles, where it was proved hackers are able to take complete control of a Jeep vehicle and invade all it's systems and functions on the road from as far as the other side of the country, potentially causing life threatening accidents.

Chrysler have announced the recall of 1.4 million vehicles in response, but this is not your average recall, as the Jeep owners won't be physically returning their cars. Instead, they will be are being sent preloaded premium USB sticks equipped with a software update to fix the exploits that hackers have been proven to have the access to meddle with.

We would suggest that Chrysler at least have fun with a custom novelty USB design and make it something memorable, like a car shaped USB, or a custom heart shaped USB to show the love to their concerned customers and their passengers... Never miss a chance to improve your branding with novelty merchandise.

After a scare like that, maybe Jeep drivers could use a novelty stressball as well...
