It is 2019, and logo fever is in full effect. There are simply people out there who cannot get enough of particular companies. So what do these people do? They create their own custom-branded merchandise using someone else's logo.

More often than not companies with fans are consumer brand names. Examples include Apple (Apple's Fanboys and Fangirls are legendary), but today, brands such as Nike, Luis Vuitton attract fans that are equally as passionate.

Luis Vuitton Fan-Made Braids

Luis Vuitton, in the past ten years, has achieved a cult-like status. My Japanese friend once told me that she believes that almost all Women in Japan own at least 1 item from this brand name. So it is no surprise that a designer called Magnus Juliano, who happens to be a big fan of the brand, decided to create his own merchandise (how he can get away with copyright infringements, I do not know).

Magnus Juliano has paid tribute to Louis Vuitton by creating a range of hair braids that are fashioned around the brand logo. What seems like a simple task of creating a 3-D product using a 3-D printer took 6months of trial and error.

With efforts like Magnus Juliano, it almost makes promotional merchandise redundant, since individuals are going to make their own event and marketing merchandise.

The Design Thoughts Behind Logo HairBraids

According to Magnus, his inspiration was to honour African American culture which uses hair jewellery. This combined with streetwear culture and the use of a luxury brand creates a unique visual product.

Using Fan-Made Merch as Promotional Items

If you're running a business, creating some fan-made merchandise can really help ya out. You can use it as promotional items for events or trade shows to get people talking about your brand.

Here's an idea - why not make some promotional t-shirts with your logo on it but add a special twist inspired by popular fandoms like Marvel or Harry Potter? This will definitely grab the attention of fans and they'll be keen to wear your merch around too.

Plus, all those happy attendees will start spreading the word about your biz through good ol' fashioned word-of-mouth marketing. It's a win-win situation if I do say so myself!

Conclusion

The relevance of fan-made merchandise is undeniable in an increasingly digital world. It's no secret that fandom culture has become a global phenomenon, with countless websites dedicated to celebrating its connection and creativity. From figurines and posters to apparel and jewelry, fans are finding new ways to express themselves by creating their own personal collections of coveted merchandise related to their favorite franchises.

The potential for detail in handmade models may often be superior as well due to the increased time and effort put into making them which offers a unique alternative against mass-produced equivalents created on rigid production lines under strict financial constraints which limit customization options for consumers discerning enough about what they want beyond what top–level marketing departments believe will sell.

Furthermore, most passionate markets trend towards emerging forms of media where there isn’t large-scale presence from major producers out of interest but just regular people who bring back such titles into popularity.
