The aluminium wireless charger is suitable for Qi compatible phones with fast charge capabilities. When connected to an external power source, such as a 9V/2A wall wart or car USB socket it will provide instant gratification - but if you don't have one of those then there's still plenty enough juice left in this baby at standard speed! If your phone supports it (most do) then use Wireless Fast Charge mode instead.
