Fidget spinners, do you remember them? They say that technology, trends, and fads are moving faster than they have ever been in history. This is definitely true for Fidget spinners. These first gained massive popularity in 2017, and by the end of 2018 much of the hype (and sales) have dwindled. The interest for them waned quite quickly, but, hey that means it is going to come back around quickly.

A Diamond Fidget Spinner

Sitting king amongst the different available styles of fidget spinners has to be this effort by a company that makes luxury products. This company is called J Balvin and features a fidget spinner covered with a lot of diamonds. The design itself is inspired by the famous designer called Murakami (you will probably recognise his colours and motifs through the famous line he did with Luis Vuitton).

Going Back to Reality

So back to the real world, fidget spinners are now a product that is somewhat like a yo-yo or a frisbee. The vast mainstream popularity has faded, but what has remained, is a consistent stream of demand for these products that are now very familiar to us all.

In other words, branding your logo onto promotional fidget spinners makes for a fantastic giveaway item for events.

Fidget Spinner Trivia

Did you know that fidget spinners were initially used as a device for those with ADHD (i.e. for those who cannot sit still and concentrate).
The inventor of the spinner is a lady called Catherine Hettinger. Her patent for the toy was registered in 1997. In 2005, she declined to renew the patent.

Why Retro is Back In Style

Let us consider why retro-style products are making such strong comeback today? Perhaps nostalgia is playing a big role in the resurgence of older products with younger generations experiencing these things for the first time. Maybe because it feels comforting to re-embrace something that reminds us of simpler (slower?) times, yet still has modern applications and uses - either way there's no denying its appeal.

Conclusion

Promotional fidget spinners may now be considered retro but they are still a popular product offering consistency in demand! Branding your logo onto one can make for fantastic giveaway items at any event you might have coming up. So whether you're giving them out as part of goodie-bags or simply laying them out on your booth-tables... resting hands need not go unnoticed unlike before!
