Last week we had a show booth at the Sydney Event Showcase 2013 in Darling Harbour in Sydney Australia. It was an amazing event and we would like to thank all those people who dropped by our booth to say hello. It was a blast seeing familiar faces, familiar customers and meeting so many new people. For those who were unable to make it to the show here is a small re-cap on what happened. It was held last week between 14th and 15th August 2013.

What Is The Sydney Event Showcase? (held with Australian Business Events Expo)

It is a big expo held in Darling Harbour Sydney each year and it is held in conjunction with another event called the Australian Business Events Expo. It consists of vendors (us included) putting their best foot forward and showing off products and services. The types of vendors are those who provide things like:
- Catering
- Staging, lighting and effects
- Event & Restaurant venues (race courses, casinos, hotels etc)
- Event Planners
- Interior Decor
- Performances
- Service and product suppliers from valet parking to celebrity guest speakers

Highlights of the Show

Cooking Classes Food Chocolates & Ice Cream

There were gourmet free chocolate shots from Max Brenner Chocolatier, as well as an ice cream truck handing out free cones. In other places there were free Paella and cooking classes with sampling for pasta and seafood. All FREE!

Alcohol and Booze

Various vendors were offering free wine tasting, as well as showing off their bar and restaurant venues. In fact there were waitresses handing out free champagne throughout the exhibition floor.

Amazing Visual Decor

Some of the booths were possibly the best ever seen in Australia. They had lighting that hung from the roof top whilst others had a modern futuristic look about them.

Music Acts

At the show there were performances by up and coming artists, seasoned performers and even local act Jessica Mauboy had us rocking to some great tunes.

Performance Acts - Drummers & Theater

Upon entrance there was an on-going Alice in wonderland re-enactment. It was stunning. The costumes and the decor was amazingly detailed. The performers was in character 100% of the time. For photos and for directions they only spoke and acted within character which was simply stunning.

Atmosphere & Vibe: Simply Cool & Classy & Fun

Chillout Area

If it got a bit frantic there were chillout areas throughout the event as well as charging stations for your mobile devices.
