I have come across a rather exciting day which is referred to as the National Walk to School Day. It seems like an official day that should work well in many schools in Australia.

What Happens on a National Walk Day?

The first Wednesday of every week in October is a day when exercise is encouraged. On the day, the daily commute by students to the school will switch from Transport to walking. This assumes that the distance is practical of course. I cannot think of a better time of year, than the beautiful Spring Time in Australia right now to go for a walk. Fresh air, and exercise is a great excuses to walk to school.

Walking is good for the heart, your general health, and even your mental health. Try and walk for at least 30 minutes each day.
