2017 saw the rise of the fidget spinner craze, which has slowly petered out over recent months. Not everyone has said goodbye to spinners though, including a group of fifty talented engineers who worked together to design a fidget spinner that would cinch a Guinness World Record.

Customised Fidget Spinners Making History

The team of talented engineers at Mitsubishi Precision Co. Ltd have utilised high-quality ball bearings from a fellow Japanese company, MinebeaMitsumi Inc. to make a fidget spinner that defies all preconceived notions about spinners. Elegantly designed, the promotional fidget spinner from the 50+ member team features a heavy exterior ring with a lightweight aluminium centre to generate an incredible number of spins from a nominal output of energy.

The spinner's overall look and ultra-swift spinning were created to mimic those seen on space satellites. Because the ball bearings and aluminium materials were so refined, the spinner managed to rotate for over 24 minutes from one spin -- talk about impressive! Takayuki Ishikawa was the lucky employee who had to keep his finger from moving for those 24 minutes to ensure the attempt was accurate and didn't fail partway through from a bump or similar.

While it's unlikely you or I can afford to invest in one of these record-holding spinners (they cost around $600 AU to build) these Japanese engineers aren't the only ones working on reworking the fidget spinner. Premium Wheel Spinners and Promotional Snowflake Spinners provide stress-free spinning for a fraction of the price but are a great upgrade on the standard models.
