Sometimes it can be tough balancing your desire to be eye-catching with the practicality of branding promotional products. The Halo Brewery rebrand by Underline Studio shows that you can have your cake and eat it too by using smart design consistencies across both colourful and monochromatic items.

Promotional Logo Designs in Monochrome and Colour

The brewery in question consider themselves to be unconventional so when looking to rebrand they wanted their new look to be similarly "out there" and the design studio have obliged with an incredible range of drink labels as well as promotional products. What is interesting about these designs is that their consistent theme does not rely on constant colours (as indeed the colours used differ across all labels) but in their application of slick geometric patterns.

On their canned drinks and long-neck bottles, the labels are very vibrant and eye-catching in their use of colour. However, on their thicker bottles and customised merchandise, the design reverts to a monochromatic theme. For some companies, this difference might be avoided, even though the cost of branding in full colour on shirts etc. can be quite expensive. However, the team here have embraced it and ensured it's not too jarring by using consistent shapes and typography between the black&white and colour designs. The resulting items belong to the Halo Brewery, without having to use a uniform colour scheme.

So if you're scared to commit to a design that ditches branding scheme standards, don't be. The Halo Brewery redesign shows that whether you're printing on t-shirts or glassware, as long as there are consistent elements your audience are likely to put 2+2 together when it comes to your brand.
