We're always on the lookout for incredible artwork and designs created using simple tools you or I might have around the home. There's something rather thrilling about the idea that the same pens or pencils we might have on our work desk could be used to create something magical in the right hands. These beautiful blobs of paint are the latest example of this, and oddly enough, not everything is as it seems.

Amazing Artwork Made With Basic Branded Pencils

Artist Cj Hendry is well known for her ultra realistic black and white illustrations of everything from a Gucci bag to Kanye West's face on a $100 note. Her latest piece of promotional work, however, is in vibrant splashes of colour, looking almost like photographs of paint splotches and splashes on canvas. In reality, Hendry drew these incredible pieces of artwork using nothing more than promotional colouring pencils!

It can be a bit hard to believe at first, that such rich and exciting colour blobs could be pencil drawings rather than real dollops of paint, but Hendry's process shows their evolution from basic outlines to illustrations in full. While the average joe might not be able to put together such expert depth and colour pigmentation on their first attempt, with practice straight forward, commercial pencil options can be used in all manner of artistic and design works.

So rather than be discouraged by such incredible artistry, grab your nearest set of pencils and get scribbling! Hendry is an avid doodler and she started out sketches before tackling big commission pieces such as this one. Best of all, using the nearest branded pencils means you don't have to invest in new or expensive tools. Just grab the set you got at your last trade show or expo and start generating your own art.
