  1. Pizza: Trivia and Merch

Pizza is one of the greatest things mankind has ever discovered. It has to be one of our crowning achievements.  Along with the wheel, movable printing type, modern medicine, industrialisation, and information technology, I feel pretty confident that pizza belongs on that list. We here at Cubic Promote love pizza, and we sell a variety of pizza related merchandise, that’s why we figured that today’s blog would be a celebration of one of our favourite dishes. So here are 8 interesting little facts about Pizza. And I have to say, if you can read this and not want pizza afterwards, then you either are currently eating a pizza or have just finished a pizza, or you may be lacking a soul.

    1. Promotional products increase brand awareness.
    2. Pizza-related products are fun and unique.
    3. Customisable options suit any brand.

  4. World's Most Memorable Logos

What qualities bestow a brand with international recognition? Sure, the quality of the product or service and the overall excellence of the marketing campaign are highly important – but brand image is paramount. And this image must be able to be communicated with a great logo.

    1. Keep it simple for recognition.
    2. Unique design reflects brand values.
    3. Avoid copying and overcomplicating.

    Siegel+Gale Study About Logos

The most globally recognisable logos should come as no surprise to you. Hazard a guess, list the first several logos that you see everyday.... I bet that list includes McDonalds, Nike, Apple and Coca-Cola. According to Siegel+Gale's newest study, Logos Now, these four labels are the most recognisable to the general public because of their clear and simple design.

Their study found that simplicity is the best method to make sure your design is more memorable. They

  5. Custom New Unbreakable Glasses

Anyone who has ever shattered a glass knows what a pain it can be. It’s deeply irritating and potentially dangerous. I broke a glass myself quite recently; I had it sitting next to the sink, when I accidently knocked it into a steel cooking pot that I was cleaning. Needless to say it broke to bits. Trying to clean up every tiny shard of glass so you don’t end up with pointy bits in your food down the line, all without leaving lacerations all over your hands? Not fun. Which is why I’m surprised that I’m only finding out about these excellent new glasses now. Snow Peak have created a line of drinkware, shaped like the traditional glassware used for alcohol, but made of silicone so that it’s not only unbreakable, but flexible as well.

Unbreakable glasses aren’t exactly new, but unbreakable

  6. Pepsi Releasing Back to the Future Custom Bottle

Back to the Future was an iconic trilogy of films. Back to the Future II in particular provided a rather garish, but highly memorable vision of the then future of 2015, featuring hoverboards, flying cars, holograms, self drying and adjusting clothes, and other such technologies that probably seemed wacky and hilarious back in the 1980’s but that we’re still desperately trying to develop today. Nike developed a limited edition set of shoes some years ago that were similar to the ones Marty McFly wore, and are apparently working towards the self-lacing technology seen in the film. Meanwhile Lexus did develop a hoverboard prototype earlier this year that, while not going into production soon, will hopefully one day fill that hoverboard shaped void in the soul of every man, woman, and child who ever saw the film.  Pepsi are now getting in on the game, and while it’s not quite as exciting as some of the things in development, it’s still a rather cool nod to an iconic movie series.

  8. 'Different' Custom Backpacks

    'Different' Custom Backpacks

    Customised Apparel & Bags

So, we need to talk about fashion, and back packs, and what high fashion does to the concept of a backpack... Alleged fashion designer Rick Owens has a reputation for outrageous and controversial displays at his fashion shows, but he still managed to shock and astound at his Sprint '16 showing last week when he sent models walking down the runway with people strapped to them in the alleged style of a 'human backpack'... Because, fashion.

Now, maybe we just don't have the refined palette and artistic inclination of consumers and appreciators of high fashion, but this just looks plain weird to us... Surely strutting along with a custom printed backpack

  9. Unusual Sports Merchandise

There are few events as internationally unifying as a major sports match, and sure enough sports teams and events are always accompanied with a slew of commercial merchandise. Promotional rugby jerseys and custom stubby coolers (including coolers shaped like NRL jerseys), and sports event cooler bags are popular choices. Some of these products however, err towards the bizarre... especially when it comes to crazed NRL fans. In this post, we'll talk about some of those merchandise and expand on our discussion of branded sports merchandise.

    1. Customised NRL merchandise boosts branding.
    2. Unique NRL merchandise ideas for promotions.
    3. Merchandise builds brand loyalty and engagement.

  10. Burger King Custom Branded Wine

Wine is serious business. It conjures up images of class. It’s seemingly the most elegant of alcohols, created in sun dappled vineyards in exotic and beautiful locations to be enjoyed by the wealthy and sophisticated. To be well versed in wine is to be knowledgeable and distinguished. To give a gift of wine, packaged and emblazoned with its subtle and restrained designs, is to give a gift that is refined. As I said, it’s serious business – assuming of course that it’s not just some cheap plonk or a goon bag. I imagine then, that not only is wine taken seriously, but that it is taken most seriously in Europe, particularly in the Southern and Western parts, near the Mediterranean. Which makes it rather surprising that Burger King is releasing a specially made “Whopper Wine” to be sold at their franchised fast food restaurants in Spain.
